Belews Creek, NC 12/3/2008 -- At the 2008 SEMA Show in Las Vegas on November 4, a North Carolina company was presented with a prestigious award from the Automotive Restoration Market Organization (ARMO) a council of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA). The award was judged at Spring Carlisle by member businesses of ARMO. The council recognizes one new product each year as best representing the classic and antique automotive industry and hobby.
Classic Automotive Restoration Specialists (CARS) accepted the New Product of the Year in the Original Restoration category for their 1969 Continuation Series Yenko Camaro. Customers can order a brand new Yenko just as they could in 1969, experience the smell and feel of driving a new Yenko Camaro like it came from the dealership.
CARS is the only shop in the country with a license to build these Camaros. The Yenko Continuation Camaro has taken 2 1/2 years of research and collaboration with SEMA member companies to license and reproduce the parts. It is one of the best examples of SEMA member companies coming together for the good of the industry.
